Courses, Preventive Medicine, Propedutics 1, Propedutics 2 and Forensic Medicine courses, which are given as a
multydisiplinary in undergraduate education.

Veterinary Internal Diseases master’s and doctorate programs affiliated to Erciyes University Health Sciences Insti-
tute are carried out in the department.

Until 2021, 27 master’s and 12 doctoral students have completed their postgraduate education in the department.
In the Department of Internal Medicine, researches are carried out in the fields of the diagnosis of respiratory sys-
tem diseases and the development of antibody-based kits for the diagnosis of small animal diseases, inflammatory
biomarkers in animal diseases, disease prevalence and incidence, veterinary cardiology and veterinary dermatology.
In the Laboratory of the Department, there are basic equipment
(ELISA device, Autoanalyzer, Blood gases device, Hematology device, Coagulometer device, microscope and other
basic laboratory devices) with which these researches can be carried out. In addition, the necessary equipment and
devices (Ultrasoundography, Echocardiography, Electrocardiography, pulse oximeter, endoscope, bronchoscope,
urine analyzer, ophthalmoscope, laryngoscope, hematocrit centrifuge and microscope) are available for the clinical
applications of the Department. Until 2021, 63 SCI publications, 64 BAP and 12 TÜBİTAK projects have been
completed in the department. Department of Internal Diseases hosted 1 national and 1 international congress; 1
national, 4 international symposiums, seminars, conferences, courses, etc..
