and Preventive Medicine courses, which are given as multidisciplinary in the Veterinary Medicine education.

In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, graduate and doctorate programs are carried out in Erciyes Uni-
versity Health Sciences Institute. In the department, there are 13 graduate and three doctoral students completed
their graduate educations until 2021.

In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, researches are carried out on the control of reproduction in farm
animals and carnivores, mastitis and udder health in cows, mammary tumors in carnivores, uterine diseases in cows,
embryo transfer and other biotechnological basics. There are basic equipment such as ultrasonography scanner for
companion and large animals, milk somatic cell counting device, phase contrast microscope, CO2 Incubator, RIA
device. 55 publications in SCI and SCI Index, 29 BAP projects, and 3 TUBITAK projects have been completed in
the department until 2021.

Reproduction, Artificial Insemination and Andrology Department was founded and started its activities in the
fields of education, training, research, routine analysis and clinic in 1995 by Prof. Dr. Tayfur BEKYÜREK. Then,
Prof.Dr. Ömer Orkun Demiral, Prof.Dr. Serpil Sarıözkan and Dr. Ali Erdem ÖZTÜRK was appointed to the
Department.

In undergraduate education, Reproduction, Artificial Insemination and Andrology courses are taught by the De-
partment. In addition, it also contributes to the teaching of Propedeutics, Herd Health and Management, 3rd, 4th
and 5th Grade Clinical courses, which are given as multidisciplinary in undergraduate education.
