In undergraduate education, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Environmental Science courses are taught by the
Department. In addition, it also contributes to the teaching of Medical Botany, Occupational Health and Safety,
Forensic Medicine courses, which are given as multidisciplinary in undergraduate education.
In the department, Pharmacology and Toxicology master and doctorate programs affiliated to Erciyes University
Health Sciences Institute, Pharmacology and Toxicology Joint Doctorate Program with Cumhuriyet University
Health Sciences Institute, and CHE 100/2000 priority field doctoral program (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and
Drug Design) are conducted.

In the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, researches are carried out on the basic subjects of pharmaco-
kinetics, toxicokinetics, oxidative stress, insecticide toxicity, CYP-450 enzyme activities, genotoxicity, cell culture,
and the effects of supplementary foods. In the Laboratory of the Department, there are basic equipment including
GC, HPLC, ELISA equipment, spectrophotometer, invert microscope, CO2 oven, etc.

Until 2021, 122 SCI publications, 55 Scientific research projects funded by Erciyes University, and 5 The Scientific
And Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) projects have been completed in the department.
Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology hosted 1 international congress.
