The Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases was established in 1995 under the Department
of Animal Science and Animal Nutrition in order to teach the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine the
metabolism of nutrients according to animal species and the feeds used in animal nutrition and to feed according
to animal types in the unique animal nutrition section.

Our faculty members of the Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases; Prof. Dr. Erol BAYTOK,
Prof. Dr. Berrin KOCAOĞLU GÜÇLÜ, Prof. Dr. Osman KÜÇÜK and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanber KARA.

YÖK 100/2000 Ph.D. student Sena YILMAZ is also actively involved in the academic studies of the department.

In undergraduate education, Feed Hygiene and Technology, Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases courses are
given by the Department. Medical Botanic and Herd Health and Management courses are given in a multidisci-
plinary manner with other departments.
