Prof. Dr. Savaş SARIÖZKAN
Department of Animal Health Economics and Management was founded in 1998 by Prof. Dr. Engin SAKARYA
and Prof. Dr. Yavuz CEVGER (Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) gave lectures with assignment
and started to education activities. In the same year, Prof. Dr. Savaş SARIÖZKAN was appointed to the Depart-
ment. Livestock Economics and Herd Management (common) course is given in undergraduate education.
Postgraduate education is carried out through the Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Animal Science.
In the Department, which has one member, 7 students have completed their master’s education until 2021. Until
2021, 28 SCI publications, 9 BAP, 1 TÜBİTAK and 1 TAGEM projects have been completed. The Department
hosted 1 national congress.
