GENERAL INFORMATION

The Department of Physiology is a division that investigates the functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems and the processes of these functions, and it aims to give information to the students about these subjects in theoretical and applied courses. In our Department, undergraduate, graduate and associate degree physiology education is provided. Studies on the molecular mechanism of cardiovascular system, antioxidants and oxidative stress, nutritional physiology, hormones, diabetes and cell culture are being carried out.

In our department, Physiology I (3 Theoretical, 2 Practical, compulsory), Physiology II (3 Theoretical, 2 Practical, compulsory), Ethology (1 Theoretical, together with Animal Science Department, compulsory), Poultry Physiology (1 Theoretical, elective), Advanced level education (4 Theoretical,6 Practical, compulsory) courses are taught in the undergraduate program.

To educate qualified students who have taken life-long learning as a principle by using information and technology in the light of universal human values and to carry out international scientific researches.

The vision of the Department is to be a unit that conducts researches at national and international levels.
