ABOUT DEPARTMENT

Department of the Histology and Embryology, which was established on 24.02.1995, is currently continuing its studies on education and research at undergraduate and graduate level and provides revolving funds services. Prof. Dr. Güner KÜÇÜK BAYRAM is the Head of Department. The laboratory activities of the Department of Histology and Embryology during the establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 were carried out by using the laboratories belonging to the Faculty of Medicine. In the same year, the Faculty moved to the building allocated by the Rectorate in Kayseri Sumer Neighborhood. During this period, scientific and routine research studies were carried out in laboratories allocated for the Department of Histology and Embryology. After the faculty moved to the Erciyes University Campus in December 2010, the Department continued to conduct its activities at the laboratory of the Histology and Embryology Department in the main building of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. There are 2 Master’s Degree and 4 PhD students at the department. There are 6 going projects (BAP and TUBITAK) as from 2017. The laboratory activities of the Department of Histology and Embryology at the time of the establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 were carried out by using the laboratories belonging to the Faculty of Medicine in Erciyes University Campus. In the same year, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was transferred to the building in Kayseri Sumer. During this period, scientific and routine research studies were carried out in laboratories assigned to the Department of Histology and Embryology. Following the relocation of the faculty to the Erciyes University Campus in December 2010, scienctific activities of the Department is continuing its laboratory of the Histology and Embryology in the main building of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. There are 2 masters and 4 PhD students in the department. There are 6 projects (BAP and TUBITAK) that are going on by 2017.
