Biochemistry department was established in 1996. There are 1 Professor, 1 Assistant Professor. Theoretical and practical undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses are provided. Up to now, 8 Master’s and 3 PhD Degree students have graduated.
Vision and Mission
The vision of the Department of Biochemistry is to make the use of clinical biochemistry widespread in the field of veterinary medicine, to carry out experimental studies that will contribute to universal science by collaborating with the units abroad and to share our knowledge and skills at international level.
The mission of the Department of Veterinary Biochemistry is to provide basic and clinical biochemistry knowledge for veterinarian candidates by following the latest developments in science and technology, to contribute to these candidates’ acquirement of formation that will ensure their integration with the veterinary clinical sciences, to provide routine clinical biochemistry laboratory services and to conduct researches to solve the animal husbandry problems in the region.
