Mission

The mission of the department is to train self-confident veterinarians who adhere to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, who respect democratic and ethical values, who are sensitive to environmental, country and world problems, who are interested in scientific and technological developments, who keep up with the age, who are open to change and improvement, who perceive the science as a lifestyle, who follow and implement international knowledge.

Vision

• to encourage all academic staff members at the department to work and produce at national and international scientific platforms by providing free work environment,
• to enable both our students and the people of the region to have correct information about the breeding of animals and to instill animal love into them,
• to train qualified and respected veterinarians who foresee the problems of animal health, welfare and animal rights and who can produce result-oriented solutions and who abide by deontological and ethical rules.
