Department of Physiology

The Department of Physiology is a division that investigates the functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems and
the process of these functions, and it aims to give information to students about these subjects in theoretical and
applied courses.

In undergraduate education, Physiology I, Physiology II, Physiopathology and Avian

Physiology courses are given by the Department staff. In addition, it contributes to the teaching of Ethology in
partnership with the Department of Animal Science in undergraduate education. In our department, education
and training activities are carried out in the master program within the Institute of Health Sciences in Erciyes Uni-
versity and PhD program within the Institute of Health Sciences in Kırıkkale University.

Until 2021, 5 master students completed their education in the Department.
In the Physiology Department, studies are carried out on the molecular mechanism of the cardiovascular system,
antioxidants and oxidative stress, nutritional physiology, hormones, diabetes and cell culture.

Until 2021, 19 SCI publications have been published and 6 BAP projects have been completed in the Department.
