ERCIYES UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF VETERINARY IN 25 ANNIVERSARY
                                                                                       TH

The meticulous practices in our hospital and the number of patients increasing day by day have a very positive effect
on the high level of professional skill acquisition of our students. In addition, our faculty has established profes-
sional partnerships by signing the necessary protocols with all relevant public and private-sector organizations that
it may be in contact with on a professional basis. This situation provides a great opportunity and advantage to the
“Hands-on Work” education of the students of our faculty. Thanks to the practices and experiences gained here, our
graduates are ready for field conditions, with the expertise and competence they have achieved.
Like Erciyes University, our Faculty has successfully completed its national and international accreditation pro-
cesses and completed its branding. In this context, the report prepared as a result of the “ESEVT REVISIT” of
our Faculty on September 20-24, 2021 was evaluated at the meeting of ECOVE on 14.12.2021 and a FULL
ACCREDITATION decision was made for our faculty. The decision taken was delivered to our Dean’s Office by
Professor Dr. Florian Buchner (Chairperson of ECOVE). Thus, the full accreditation process of our Faculty to
EAEVE has been successfully completed. This accreditation has constituted one of the most important develop-
ment steps in the 25-year history of our faculty. Additionally, ERU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was accredited
by VEDEK on February 14, 2020. It is my absolute belief that ERU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will always be
            able to maintain its accreditations.

In addition to international accreditation studies, ERU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine successfully fulfills its duties
and responsibilities by being a member of International Professional Organizations and Regional Professional Or-
ganizations and/or taking part in scientific platforms created within the scope of activities. In this context, we are
very happy and honored by the appearance of our Faculty in the list of American Veterinary Medical Association
            (AVMA, https://www.avma.org/education/ecfvg/directory-avma-listed-veterinary-colleges-world). Meanwhile,
ERU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is a member of the Association of Mediterranean Veterinary

Faculties (Association Mediterranean Network of Establishments for Veterinary Education) (REEV-Med, https://
www.reev-med.org/portal/en/) and contributes to scientific events organized by REEVMED.
Our faculty’s place in Turkey has been at the forefront, according to The Times World Universities Ranking for in-
stitutions under 50 years of age in the last five years (2017-2021). Particularly, in the areas of teaching, international
outlook, industry income, research and citation, our faculty has obtained very good scores in the rankings. It is
highly probable that this ranking will continue in the following years. In addition to these achievements, all of our
research laboratories and animal hospital performing analyses in our Faculty have been licensed and authorized by
the Ministry of Agriculture. These laboratories also have been included in the accreditation process of the Turkish
Accreditation Agency (TURKAK), and the process is followed with great discipline.
All the academic and administrative staff of our faculty, who are highly disciplined, capable of teamwork, self-con-
fident, humble, egalitarian and able to make decisions with courage, have reached a strong belief that they can be
successful at all times with these characteristics. It means keeping this belief and development permanent, seeing
the future correctly and projecting it well. For this, it is necessary to have certain core values. These values provide
the ability to adapt quickly to the changing world. These values include aiming for professional excellence, observ-
ing the integrity of animal health and human health as well as advanced and reliable environmental health, focusing
on a bright future and having valuable stakeholders. For targeted academic excellence, professionals are needed who
have integrated values; honest and sincere; responsible and accountable; and able to facilitate, analyze, interpret,
advocate, produce, and serve as reliable leaders. With my respect.

                                                                                       Prof. Dr. Abdullah İNCİ
