“Research and Candidate Research Universities” were declared by YÖK in 2017 according to various scientific
indices. In this evaluation, ERU ranked 11th among Turkish universities and has achieved great success by being a
research university within the scope of research capacity, quality and interaction.
ERU has become the 8th research university with 48.65 points, raising the bar of success among the universities
determined by YÖK through the Research Universities Performance Monitoring Index of the performances of
universities in 2021 compared to previous years.
In addition, ERU has been one of the top five universities in Turkey that has been entitled to “full accreditation”
by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK)
