                     7.  RELATIONS WITH NATIONAL AND

                           INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

                           INSTITUTIONS



                            7.1. Veterinary Education Institutions and Programs Evaluation
                            and Accreditation Association (VEDEK)

            The national accreditation authority of veterinary medicine education and training programs in Turkey has been
            given to the Veterinary Education Institutions and Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (VEDEK),
            which received its Quality Evaluation Registration Certificate on 02.02.2012 by the General Assembly of Higher
            Education. ERÜVF is a member of VEDEK numbered 65 in its establishment and has applied for accreditation
            to VEDEK in the following process. After the application, an evaluation team of 7 people was formed by VEDEK
            and an evaluation visit was carried out between 18-22 November 2019 as a result of the agreement reached with
            the Faculty administration. In the evaluation made, all academic and administrative units of the Faculty were
            examined on-site, and evidence-based observations and evaluations were made in education-research and adminis-
            trative issues. ERÜVF successfully completed the evaluation process carried out by VEDEK and was registered as
            a “Conditionally Accredited Faculty” for 2 years as a result of the meeting of the Veterinary Education Institutions
            and Programs Accreditation Committee on February 14, 2020.  In the next period, the Conditionally Accredited
            status of the Faculty was changed to “Accredited Faculty” in accordance with the decision taken at the meeting of
            the Accreditation Committee on March 05, 2022.

            As of June 2021, 7 veterinary faculties (Ankara University VF, Ondokuz Mayıs University VF, Fırat University VF,
            Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University VF, Uludağ University VF, Selçuk University VF and Adnan Menderes Uni-
            versity) out of 32 veterinary faculties continuing their education and training activities in Turkey as of June 2021.
            VF) were evaluated as fully accredited by VEDEK, and 3 veterinary faculties (Kırıkkale University VF, Erciyes
            University VF, Atatürk University VF) were conditionally accredited (VEDEK, 2019).

            ERUVF faculty members who successfully completed the training by participating in the expert trainings organized
            by VEDEK also joined the VEDEK Experts. These names are;
