4.1. Veterinary Medicine Education Core Training Program
(VUÇEP-2021)

Veterinary Medicine Education National Core Training Program was examined and approved at the Higher Ed-
ucation General Assembly Meeting dated 27.10.2021. Establishing a framework in which the basic foundations
and principles of the education given in veterinary faculties in Turkey with the National Veterinary Education
Core Training Program are determined; harmonizing the educational standards of national-level faculties with this
framework at a certain level; determining the minimum competencies of veterinarians who have recently gradu-
ated from veterinary faculties in our country; It is aimed to train physicians who can provide veterinary services
needed at international level. In addition, it is planned to update VUÇEP with the decision of the Deans Council
in line with the feedback during the implementation, scientific developments and sector needs. At the same time,
VUÇEP-2021 is a framework program in which the minimum conditions that veterinary faculties will take as a
basis while developing their own training programs and the first day competencies of veterinarians are determined,
it is not a training program or curriculum.
