8.2. Erciyes University Agricultural Research and Practice Center
(ERÜTAM)

Erciyes University Agricultural Research and Practice Center (ERUTAM) was established within the framework of
the Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 25 July 2011 and numbered 280005 in order to gather the
research and practices carried out in the field of plant and animal husbandry at our university under a single roof.
For the studies to be carried out in the field of animal husbandry, supports such as animal materials and coops, pens
and barns can be provided in broiler (2000 units) and egg poultry (2500 units), quail (500 units), sheep farming
(500 units) and dairy cattle (150 units). In addition to these, the newly created pig unit also provides education and
research services. For the specified activities; There is approximately 4,500 decares of land in the Central Campus,
Mithatpaşa Mahallesi, İncesu-Yavaş locations.

Within ERUTAM, many social opportunities are offered to researchers working in research projects and students
doing practical training. Some of these are the dining hall for students, WC-Shower units, Meeting and Seminar
Halls, Dormitory facilities.
